IT WAS BIZARRE. Unexpected. And five years later, unexplained. Malabar, Florida volunteer firefighter Brandy Hall disappeared five years ago today. Now, cops are reopening the probe and consulting FBI profilers to try and shed some light on the mystery and develop a profile of any potential suspects.
The cute, 32-year-old mother of two was last seen leaving the Malabar Fire Department Aug. 17, 2006. A fisherman led cops to her bloodstained Chevrolet pickup truck in a murky pond in southern Brevard County. In fact, so much blood was found inside the truck, cops concluded she had been murdered.

So much of Hall's blood was found inside the pickup that investigators declared she was the likely victim of a homicide. Hall disappeared the day before her husband of 13 years, Jeff Hall, a former fire chief, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for his role in a marijuana-growing operation. Brandy Hall was also arrested for her suspected involvement in the pot-growing case but prosecutors later dropped the charges. Her body has not been found and possible suspects have been interviewed but the case remains ice cold.
"We believe this is a solvable case," said Det. Ernie Diebel. "We want to keep working every detail in this case until we have a resolution." Anyone with information about the Hall case is asked to call CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS or (321) 952-3456.
