$5000 REWARD
THEY'RE still hopeful of finding out the truth, despite it being more than 34 years since Ronnie Odell Davis disappeared. And now his family have offered $5000 to anyone who can help them finally put the mystery to rest.
Back in August 1977 the 24-year-old vanished without trace from his home near Swink, OK and cops, suspecting foul play, have followed up numerous leads. Each has been nothing more than a blind alley, and the handsome red headed youngster, who was approximately six-feet-two inches and 180lbs has never been seen again.
Davis was wearing blue denim jeans, a blue denim shirt and a gold watch at the time of his disappearance and investigators say Davis' truck, a white and blue 1975 Ford XLT three-quarter ton, is also missing.
The license tag number is 440-699.
Cops remain convinced the truck is the key to solving the case, as they believe it may well lead them to Davis' remains.
His family, who have set up this Facebook page in his memory are also hopeful that someone will come forward with information.
On it Susan Feller writes: "34 years ago today, you were still alive and going about your sweet, sweet life surrounded by family and friends who loved you.
"The next day, because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, you were murdered and your body hidden so well no one has found you in 34 years.
"We are hoping that by starting this Facebook page, someone will help us find you now."
They have also put up $2,500 reward for information helpful in locating Davis' remains while the OSBI is offering a separate reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviciton of the person(s) responsible for Davis' death.
Tipsters can call the OSBI tip line at (800) 522-8017 or they can call the local authorities.
