BILLY DIAMOND BAILEY NABBED IN '93 TWIN CITIES SLAY

MEET Prince Charming. Well, not really, not by a long shot. His name is Billy Diamond Bailey, a 56-year-old career criminal and he has just been charged with a Minneapolis homicide that went cold as a Minnesota winter for 18 years. Cops in the Twin Cities say in January of 1993 police responded to a report of a man laying in the street. That man, later identified as Terrance Oliver, was dead and his
death was ruled a homicide.Then, earlier this year cops took another look at the case. A DNA profile believed to be from the suspect was entered into the database in 2005. In February that DNA profile was matched Bailey--already serving time in a Federal Penitentiary.
When finished serving his federal sentence in a matter not related to Oliver's death, Bailey will begin serving time in Minnesota for a murder committed in 1984 (of which he was convicted in 2005).
If found guilty of Oliver's killing Bailey will serve yet another sentence--if he lives.

MICHIGAN MISER MURDER MYSTERY: A BIZARRE PLOT

BIZARRE. Two scientists cops believe are involved in the 2007 mysterious disappearance of a Michigan mister made it seem as if he had never existed. There was no witnesses, DNA, fingerprints or murder weapons. They were desperate and greedy. All there was left was there only pinheaded stupidity. A week later one of the piss poor crooks tried to use Don Dietz's bank card. Whoops. Rami Saba and Raogo Ouedraogo, two biologists with young families and clean records, were convicted of kidnapping and fraud earlier this year, according to The Detroit News.
Saba, 39, a failed lab researcher at Michigan State University, will be sentenced
Wednesday in federal court in Grand Rapids. Ouedraogo, 41, a lab researcher at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, will be sentenced in November. Both men face up to life in prison.
Dietz, 66, was a retired Amway mailroom worker from and he didn't like to spend money. His boots were patched with duct tape and he only got a haircut twice a year. He owned a '97 Saturn sedan but, to save money, drove his red Schwinn everywhere, even in winter. Residents called him the Bicycle Man.

LORI ZIMMERMAN, 15, MURDERED IN '84: CASE COLD

FOR THE FAMILY of Lori Zimmerman the years have dragged on. The pretty 15-year-old was kidnapped on April 6, 1984. She was found raped and murdered a week later. Over the years even a psychic was brought in by the late lamented Unsolved Mysteries show. And still no arrest, although cops have persons of interest ion the radar.
When Lori did not return home that night, her mom filed a missing-person report with the Hagerstown (Maryland) Police Department. Her body was discovered a week later in a wooded area, buried under rocks and large pieces of cardboard. She had been strangled. According to the Maryland State Police, the case is stalled with no new developments. Bachtell could not say whether the investigation has used new technologies such as DNA testing of the physical evidence. Still, he stressed the case was not closed.

"We absolutely want to solve this for the community and the family," he said.

TODD STOVER INSULIN SLAY: RHONDA PISCHEL GUILTY!

IT'S taken more than a decade for them to see justice, but finally Todd Stover's family have seen justice for his bizarre murder which saw him poisoned by insulin.
Back in 2000 Rhonda Pischel and her sister Sharon Huddleston were reportedly furious with him, because he hadn't helped them find a job.
So they lured him to a Wichita, KS, home and injected him with a fatal dose of insulin and dumped his body in a ditch.
His father Stanley told her: "What kind of an animal would throw a body into the ditch?"
something his father said it had been "very hard" to deal with.

His mom Charlene was happier however saying it could be a chance to remember her son alive before he was murdered.
She said: "It is a good time for a celebration of his life. Just seven days from today would have been Todd's 48th birthday."
Judge Burgess sentenced Rhonda Pischel to three-and-a-half years in prison for involuntary manslaughter and aiding a felon.

COPS ARREST SHAWN MARSH FOR 1983 MURDER

TIME and technology finally provided the key to unlocking a cold blooded murder almost three decades old.
Cops say that fingerprint analysis has finally linked Shawn Marsh to the brutal 1983 killing of Rodney Wyman, 29, and his hotel roommate.
They added that they were settling in for the night when one of them heard a noise in the back of the bedroom.
When Wyman approached the door, a gunman flung it open and shot him through the heart.
As Wyman staggered across the room and out of the front door, Marsh threw the roommate and screamed: "Where's the money," before kicking him in the neck and head.
Picking up the TV, its tamper alarm alerted the front office who ran round to find Marsh and gunman fleeing.    
For almost 30-years he appeared to have gotten away with it.
But when he was recently arrested for an undisclosed crime, his fingerprints were entered into a nationwide database containing more than 100 million samples.
His prints matched those taken 28 years ago from Room 74.
He is pleading not guilty.
A man who identified himself as Marsh’s uncle told The Boston Globe before the arraignment that his nephew is being framed and that he had nothing to do with the crime.

While technological advancements have proven to be great tools in crime fighting, Middlesex District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr. made solving cold cases a top priority when he took office in 2007, authorities said.

NASCAR'S KEVIN CONWAY PUTS MELISSA LECH ON CAR

NASCAR start Kevin Conway is highlighting the tragic case of a gorgeous young student who was tragically mown down in a hit-and-run three years ago.
Melissa Lech was just 20-years-old when she was struck on her walk home from a White Sox ballgame, in Chicago, IL.
And Conway is hoping that by putting a large photo of her on the back of his car, along with police contact information when he races in NASCAR Nationwide Series at Chicagoland Speedway, that it will trigger someone's memory.

He said: "It's about giving to the community and finding ways to utilize the platform of NASCAR. We wanted to remember Melissa and honor her and hopefully bring some new awareness to the case."  
The 33-year-old added that he is hopeful the resulting attention may provide new clues, witnesses and identification of the hit-and-run driver.
Maria Lech and her daughter Michelle thanked him for his effort.
Michelle Lech said: "I think it's wonderful that they're helping families. It's just giving us hope that we'll have an answer. I think it was an answer from God that this happened."
