THE KILLER of a pregnant soldier who was five months pregnant when she was viciously strangled to death will not be allowed to get away with murder, military investigators have vowed.
And now a reward of $125,000 has been offered by special agents with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command in a bid to smoke out her killer.
November 5 marks the tenth anniversary of Pfc Amanda Gonzales' brutal murder.
The army cook was just 19 when she was found dead in her barracks near Hanau, Germany, which has since closed. 
Her killing remains unsolved, despite DNA evidence taken from the scene on the base being analyzed.
Investigator's are however refusing to give up and her family continue to hope that one day they will see justice.
Back in 2008 her father Santos Gonzales told Stars & Stripes that he was still haunted by not knowing what happened to his daughter.
"It's frustrating as hell. that was my first daughter, my only daughter. It still hurts. I know she had been in a struggle. I want some answers and maybe get a little closure.
CID spokesman Chris Grey told KHOU: "Increasing the reward to $125,000 is a testament to the determination we have in solving this case and bringing the person or persons responsible to justice.
"We are confident that someone out there knows something about the untimely death of this soldier and her unborn child, and we are not giving up. HOUSTON STRANGLER OF TAMMY LYNN BOUNDS BUSTED

HE strangled the life out of her and then her left her 14-month-old son to wander the dangerous Houston streets alone.
For 21-years the killer of Tammy Lynn Bounds, who was seven-months pregnant with her second child, has been walking around scott free, presumably thinking that he'd got away with the 1990 murder.
But this week, cops finally think they've got their man, after DNA linked them to the cold blooded killer, who throttled the life out of her and then dumped her body in a wooded area near her Houston, home.
A lengthy investigation was conducted into the 18-year-old's death and although Robert Lawrence Wilson came to the attention of investigators at the time because he had once resided at the same apartment complex as Bounds, with little to go on, they were forced to let him go.
But in 2006, The Houston Chronicle reported that Cold Case Detectives Tom Duroy and Terrance Greenwood reopened the murder investigation.
With DNA techniques having come on in leaps and bounds since the original investigation they were able to finally link Wilson to the murder.
Their man was already behind bars in California and is now awaiting extradition to Texas.

JANE & CATHRYN JOHNSON'S MURDER 'NOT GOING AWAY'

YOU know what they say about Mounties always getting their man.
Well 15-years have passed but they're still working on the brutal murder of a pregnant mom and her eight-year-old daughter and they've vowed not to stop until they catch their killer.    
Back in September 1996 were Jane Johnson, who was five-months pregnant, and her eight-year-old daughter Cathryn in their Turner Valley, B.C home.
And despite the length of time cops are confident that someone who moved away to Parksville, 150 kilometres northwest of Victoria, is holding the deadly secret which will unlock the case.
Sgt. Patrick Webb told the Calgary Herald: "Investigators firmly believe that there are persons who know the final details which, if they came forward, would be enough to lay a charge and provide some closure to the family and friends of this 15-year-old crime.
"We want them to realize this is not going to go away,"
Firefighters found Jane, 36, who was five months pregnant, and Cathryn dead in their green and white bungalow sitting near the Turner Valley Golf Club.
It was originally thought the mother and daughter had died from smoke inhalation, but an autopsy revealed Jane - a daughter of the Cartwrights, a well-known Alberta ranching family - had been stabbed to death.
Police have never released how the little girl died, nor have they said how or where in the house the fire started, but they did say it was deliberately started. 
Robbery and sex have been ruled out as motives.
Johnson's fiance, Henry Reichert, was also a person of interest during the investigation, although he has never been charged.
A $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer sits untouched.
Cathryn's father Sam Johnson, who is not a suspect, says his daughter would have no doubt carried on as a barrel racer.
He told the paper: "She'd have been 23. I know I'd be going to lots of rodeos. Nobody has forgotten it here. Lots of times, people come up to me and ask if anything is new.
"It reminds me that people are legitimately interested in getting this solved."
With the passing of another anniversary of the killings, Johnson says he's holding out hope.
"I hope the next time we talk, it's to celebrate. We'll see."

PREGNANT AMANDA JONES DISAPPEARED IN 2005

AMANDA JONES was nine months pregnant when she vanished in August 2005. For years, her anguished family was left without closure--until now. The Jefferson County Sheriff's have reopened the troubling case and are going over it inch by inch. Amanda vanished from the Hillsboro Civic Center and hasn't been seen since. She was nine months pregnant at the time. her body has not been found and there have been no arrests.
Her sister, Carrie Johnson said: "The hardest part on the anniversaries for me is not knowing and having to remember that horrible day she never came home."
Lt. Doc Coombs was hired in March to investigate cold cases. There are files and dozens of witness interviews, so Coombs starting from the beginning,
going over all of it looking for that elusive clue.
Jones car and purse were found at the Hillsboro Civic Center. Her family has rehashed the details thousands of times. Carrie Johnson said: "Before my parents leave this earth, I want them to know what happened to their daughter and their grandson."
