On March 26, 1972, 18 year-old Sandra Morrison’s body was found in a wooded area located near the Hudson River in an area called “Sun Fish Cove” in the Town of Poughkeepsie. She disappeared on January 19, 1972. Sandra Morrison was last seen in the City of Poughkeepsie at the Department of Motor Vehicles, where she had just received her learner’s permit. Sandra told her friend she was going to hitchhike home, a common mode of transportation in the early ’70s.The glasses in the above photograph were found next to her body when she was discovered.
